Marian College
Christchurch
The environmentally friendly reuse of an existing former Foodstuffs warehouse is particularly innovative as we move towards a reuse society. Whilst the site was ideal with its proximity to its brother school, St Bedes College, it became apparent early in the design stages that retaining the structure was the best approach, from a cost, operational and environmental aspect. Marian College school consists of 26 classrooms, a chapel, and a fully-equipped sports hall. All the internal classrooms are constructed from timber frames along with Potius™ Box Panel floors and Roof panels.
