POTIUS™ COMMERCIAL
Potius™ Commercial Panels
Potius™ Commercial Panels are a fabricated timber panel system, built predominantly from engineered timber, resulting in a structurally efficient system with high dimensional accuracy. Potius™ Panels have the advantage of being a light-weight system that significantly reduces the seismic mass of a building thus lowering bracing and foundation demands. Potius™ Panels can be optimised according to their loading demands and customised to suit a variety of situations from vibration sensitive applications such as hospitals to panels requiring a shallow deep.
Floor Spans up to 9.5m are practical, however roof panels can span up to 14m. Potius™ engineers can provide bespoke structural, thermal, and fire performance and sometimes also acoustical and air barrier recommendations. Potius™ Panels may be overlaid with a concrete topping, without the need for propping.
The environmental advantages of building in timber are well known as the timber has stored carbon absorbed from the atmosphere while it is growing. All timber materials used in the production of Potius™ Panels are sourced from sustainably managed forests.
Structurally Efficient
Potius™ Panels are built predominately from engineered timber, resulting in a structurally efficient system with high dimensional accuracies.
Rapid Construction
The Potius™ Panel system is simple and efficient to install and can be customised for site specific requirements.
Increased Span
Potius™ Roof Panels can span up to 14m. Potius™ Floor Panels can span up to 9.5m.
Reduced Building Cost
Lightweight Potius™ Panels reduce loads on gravity and seismic system - reducing cranage requirements and overall building cost.
Reduced Time on Site
Potius™ Subfloor Panels require fewer piles saving time and money.
Customisable Build
Potius™ Panels can be configured to provide different fire ratings, acoustic demands, architectural finishes, insulation needs and service requirements.
Environmentally Friendly
Potius™ Panels utilise environmentally sustainable renewable wood products grown and processed in New Zealand.
Enhanced Safety
Enhanced safety - instant safe working platform.

COMMERCIAL PROJECT CASE STUDIES
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What R rating can your panels come in?
We can alter our foam thickness to achieve the desired amount of insulation requested. Typically we would insulate subfloors with R2.5, walls R3 and roofs R6.6 insulation.
Do I need my own architect and engineer for a Potius™ project?
Potius™ prefers to do all the engineering for its systems in-house by using its Chartered Engineers. Clients will need to engage their own architect for design of their project (Potius™ can recommend architects familiar with our system on request).
What is a typical panel size and weight?
Commercial panels are typically 2.4m wide x 8.0m long and weigh 600kgs each.
The maximum panels dimensions we can make are 3.0m wide x 12.0m long.
How long does it take to install a Potius™ commercial floor or roof system?
Commercial floors and roofs are generally installed in sections and up to 500m2 per day. Onsite storage is generally required as the panels can generally be produced quicker than they can be installed.
What is the lead time for ordering my Potius™ Panels?
Lead times may vary because of material supply and work load, however a typical lead time from ordering panels to delivery would be 1.5 - 2.5 months.
Can you provide indicative quotes for your panels so I can compare systems?
Yes, if we have a sketch or concept we can provide an estimate of cost for our panels.
Is the PUR Insulation environmental friendly?
The PUR insulation we use is Heatlok HFO Highlift, which uses recycled plastics, renewable soy oils and a non ozone depleting blowing agent. Because of its superior insulating properties its environment impact becomes less than glass fibre insulation early in its in service life cycle. Environmental Product Declarations are available on request.
Are Potius™ Panels able to be used on concrete foundations?
Yes, Potius™ Panels can be used on concrete or timber foundations.
Can Potius™ Panels be used in conjunction with traditional frame and truss construction?
Yes, Potius™ Panels can be mixed with traditional and other building systems as required.
